UNMATCHED FOR HIGH QUALITY TRADE LAMBS WITH ADDED LAMBING EASE AND RAM LONGEVITY

The LAMBPRO TRADIE originated as a breeding program that combines Southdown and Poll Dorset focused on the trade lamb market. However, in recent years, the TRADIE program combines the elite genetics from our Poll Dorset and Hampshire Down program with an aim of maintaining its Trade Lamb reputation, but also have the growth to be fed to premium export markets. Some of the highest marbling results we have seen are now from our Tradie program.

The TRADIE program uses the benefits of hybrid vigour which sees better structure, semen quality and ram longevity. Add in a reduced pregnancy gestation it’s commonly used over ewe lambs and maidens.

We see the TRADIE as a high muscled, high marbling sire suited to premium markets who have pay premiums for marbling.
